Our Pastor
Michael Oloyede Oyedokun II was born in Waco, TX to Charlesetta Oyedokun and Michael Oloyede Oyedokun, Sr. He married to Ebony Oyedokun who is
originally from Lawton, OK. They have two beautiful children, Emari Oloyede Oyedokun and Shirah Elyse Oyedokun.
Pastor Oyedokun’s Christian experience began on May 3, 1981 at the age of six when he gave his life over to Christ. He grew up in Waco, Texas as a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church, where the late Rev. Eric H. Hooker was the pastor. He held various positions outside of the church such as Youth President of the Good Hope Western District Association from 1988 through 1992 and he also served as Youth Vice President of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas from 1989 through 1994. Upon graduating from Waco High School in 1992, Pastor Oyedokun attended Stephen F. Austin State University on a full athletic scholarship playing football. In May of 1997 he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
Pastor Oyedokun relocated to Austin, Texas in 1998. In April 1999 during the 100th Church Anniversary celebration he joined the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A.W.A. Mays.
On a Sunday in September of 2003, he accepted his calling into God’s army. After years of running from God’s calling on his life he decided to “Let Go and Let God”. Pastor Oyedokun preached his first sermon on October 15, 2003 and has been serving God in whatever manner he has led. Pastor Oyedokun enrolled in the George W. Truett Seminary (Baylor Univ. campus – Waco, TX) in the fall of 2006 to obtain a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Theology. He is on schedule to graduate in May of 2011.

Pastor Oyedokun felt the Lord calling him to the Good Hope Baptist Church in 2008. After submitting to God’s will, he was called to the Good Hope Baptist Church in August of 2008. On September 7, 2008 he preached his first sermon at Good Hope and is excited about what God is doing at the Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Currently he serves as the Secretary of Information and Technology for the (MBGCT) Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas and he serves as Vice-President for the St. John Regular Baptist Association – Round Rock Sub-District.
Pastor Oyedokun has worked hard in the community of Waco and Austin. He served as a board member for the Capital City African American Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and he gives his time to youth as well by mentoring and tutoring.
